UK Stores Decide to Sell Portal 2 Early
In response to the worldwide online Steam release of the PC version of the game almost four days ago now, Eurogamer is reporting that the UK’s largest video game retailer GAME/Gamestation has with publisher EA’s approval decided to start selling the boxed PC version of the game a day early of the officially scheduled release date. However console gamers aren’t so lucky, apparently the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game will not be sold until tomorrow in line with the official release date. I think it’s nice to see physical retail shops taking actions like this in response to digital distribution, it’s only fair, in fact in my humble opinion they should have been allowed to release it the very same day it was made available online. Anyways, here’s a nice video included by our friends at Eurogamer apparently showing a glimpse at the first 15 minutes of the game.
