Some of my fondest co-op and multiplayer memories were made spilling the guts of various zombies in Call of Duty and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. But there was always something missing – vampires. InFAMOUS 2 has just announced a brand-new DLC campaign coming this October, and it features more blood-sucking and night-walking than ever before.

Cole MacGrath is no stranger to the supernatural, but in the new expansion Festival of Blood he finds himself facing a new terror in New Marais. After being bitten and becoming a vampire, Cole must fight through the darkness and kill the head vampire in hopes of saving his soul and his city. Did we mention he only has one night to do it?

The DLC will explore completely new parts of the city as players undertake never-before seen missions. Sony and Sucker Punch Productions also promised brand new characters and villains, but were very hush-hush on the extent of Cole’s powers and how being bitten has modified them (if it all).

Infamous 2: Festival of Blood will not require the purchase of previous games, and is expected to be available for download by Allhallows Eve (Halloween).
