BIS drops sort of new ArmA 3 Intel Update
A few minutes ago Bohemia Interactive released some new ArmA 3 information regarding the latest installment of the award winning milsim due out in the summer of 2012. So far several small intel updates have been made to the main arma3.com site to provide a little more information and media about the personnel, armory, factions and environment. They’ve also released their official version (with commentary) of BIS’s ArmA 3 Gamescom 2011 presentation, for now only part 1 of the video has been released which we’ve included below. The footage contained in part 1 of the video is not new nor are most of the facts discussed but the commentary is from a different person this time around.
So what new intelligence has been posted?
Well honestly not much. In terms of factions there are few newly coined and listed ones most notably Iran, Bandits and Smugglers. According to BIS’s game story Iran is apparently “compliant with the common Resource Zone Protection Force” yet they also put in bold letters beside their description to “Avoid contact if possible.” Poor Iran, always being singled out.
Besides that it’s pretty much your standard minor site updates with some weapon info, environment info, storyline info, and a few new wallpapers and avatars ready for download. Nothing all that exciting. We’ll keep you posted if anything of consequence is actually posted and when the other parts of the Gamescom 2011 presentation video is uploaded by BIS but if this “intel update” is anything to go by, don’t expect anything “new”. You can check out part 1 below even though it also doesn’t really contain anything you haven’t likely already seen.
Also, you might be interested in joining the growing OpReal Gaming ArmA 3 group so when the game hits next year you’ve already got a nice little group of seasoned contacts ready to head out into the field with.
