As our readers may recall, last month we covered the leaked I Am Alive gameplay trailer however at the time were unable to confirm whether it was just a one off oddity or if it actually signified the game which was announced way back in 2008 would be revived and see the light of day. Apparently today we have the answer.

Ubisoft has just released a new announcement trailer which slates the game for release this coming winter. That’s very soon indeed. It will be interesting to see if this is just a rushed half finished game or if they’d actually been secretively working on it for all those years as the original developers Darkworks planned it just without any mention to the press? Knowing Ubisoft though that seems doubtful. So far the trailers look pretty good. Let’s hope the game will also be solid as it has an interesting premise.

I Am Alive will be a digital downloadable title exclusively for the Xbox 360 via XBLA and for the PS3 via PSN which may say something in itself. The announcement trailer follows below.
