SSX Shows Online Features Part 1

As we are closing in on February 28th, EA Sports is releasing more and more information about their upcoming SSX title. This time creative director Todd Batty is going to talk and explain a bit more about the game’s online features. Part 1 will be dedicated to explore plus a new feature called: “Ridernet”.
The basic principle of explore is that you need to beat the times the game has set for you, beat the best time and you get a gold medal. Get a gold medal for all drops, peaks and ranges and you will dominate the world! The other feature (Ridernet) is basically a competition with your friends trying to beat each others times on the different drops around the world. The moment you put down a really good time on a particular drop Ridernet will upload a ghost of that ride to the SSX network. The next time your friend logs in to Ridernet he will see that you dominated that drop and he gets the opportunity to beat your time in order to get some in-game credits. On the other hand, if he fails to beat your ghost (your time) you will get the in-game credits instead of him but in the end all we really care about is the fame right?
The next part will be dedicated to the real-time multiplayer features. SSX is scheduled to hit the shelfs in North-America on February 28th and the rest of the world on March 2nd.
