Now that all the Assassin’s Creed Revelations violence has died down we are ready to look forward to the actual official sequel title to Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed III. Hackers likely gained access to full Steam transactions

This past weekend Valve software confirmed that the unidentified crackers who compromised their systems and gained access to the Steam distribution database in last year’s hack may have obtained a full copy of a backup file of Steam customer transactions. In a post last Friday, Gabe Newell, Valve’s co-founder and managing director explains that the file transaction backup file contained lists of essentially all transactions from between 2004 and 2008 containing usernames, email addresses, encrypted credit card and billing addresses, and various other less sensitive profile data. Valve recently celebrated yet another record year in game sales, to the surprise of absolutely no one. 2011 was an excellent year for Valve, who was able to announce their seventh straight year of 100 percent or more increase in game sales.
