Prototype 2 Weapons Trailer

prototype-2-weapons-trailer

Walking around with heavy machine guns and anti aircraft guns trying to kill everything that moves… No I am not talking about the latest Rambo movie, I am talking about the latest trailer for Prototype 2. That’s right, in this trailer James Heller is showing off his cool new toys in style by blazing hot lead where it has never gone before! One thing I don’t understand in this trailer is the silly voice saying “boom” or “NOPE”, it just sounds really weird and out of context in the trailer [...]

crysis-3-announcement

Fresh Crysis 3 details have been leaked via a russian link aggregation site, which claims the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC threequel will release in spring 2013. Electronic Arts was forced to acknowledge the leaks today and stated that more information will be following next week. Crysis 3 will take place in a heavily destroyed New York which has become “almost a jungle”, thus combining the settings of the first and second games. I personally hoped for a new and more creative setting. Crytek apparently promised to deliver “the best [...]

Ubisoft is pumping out a lot of new Far Cry 3 media and the game is looking awesome! The Ubisoft Montreal developed first person shooter Far Cry 3 was announced last year at the E3 with a promising reveal trailer. Everybody was really excited and on the other hand also relieved because the Far Cry Series was going back home onto the tropical islands after the safari trip a few years ago in Far Cry 2. Only this island is not as tropical as it might seem at first glance. [...]

Now that all the Assassin’s Creed Revelations violence has died down we are ready to look forward to the actual official sequel title to Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed III. Pete Hines from Bethesda posted a nice tweet on twitter to let everyone know that the upcoming Creation Kit for The Elder Scrolls Skyrim is right on schedule, as well as teasing everybody with some sort of “special surprise” that they have in store which will be included in the Creation Kit. Since then a lot of rumors have been going around the gaming world ranging from a special horse armor ’till official nude patches (which I think is going to be highly unlikely). Here is the complete tweet from [...]

The Trading Floor – A Rare Rant in Skyrim

skyrim-trading-rant

As I finished up my latest stint of looting and pillaging outside Whiterun, I became encumbered and found it difficult to flee the scene of my latest crime. I turned to Jenessa, my faithful servant in hopes that she could lighten my load by carrying some items from me only to find out that she too was at her maximum carrying capacity. Suddenly, I’ve been thrust into a difficult decision that can really only end in a loss for me – do I drop some heavy but powerful weaponry, or [...]

Licensed Games: Reinforcing the Stereotype

captain-america-super-soldier-stereotype

Sipping my morning coffee around 2 p.m. and watching t.v. shows on an actual television for the first time in months, I had an epiphany. Actually, Victor Lucas and the team at Reviews on the Run should be credited for the findings, but since they’re not here you’ll just have to give me the kudos. What for you ask? The realization that licensed games are among the worst that were produced this year and are a step backwards for the industry we love so much. It’s very rare that reviewers [...]
