Total War Shogun 2 Fall Of The Samurai Release Date Confirmed

The waiting is almost over for all the Total War fans that were waiting on the Shogun 2 expansion pack: “Fall of the Samurai”. SEGA officially confirmed today that this expansion pack will be released on March 24th. Command and Conquer: Generals 2 Confirmed

The vague screenshot shown a month ago was a sneak peak of the new Generals title in the Command & Conquer franchise. Bioware confirmed that the game is due to launch in 2013 exclusively for PC during the VGA’s a few days ago. Command & Conquer: Generals 2 will run on the new frostbite 2 engine which was developed originally by DICE for their latest release Battlefield 3. Victory Games will be in charge of development as BioWare Victory.

Diablo III and Starcraft II trailers stomp in at Blizzcon 2011

The 2 day long Blizzcon 2011 is currently wrapping up at the Anaheim Convention Center and Blizzard has released lots of new trailers and media for their flagship games. Among their more prominent titles Blizzard has released new trailers giving a little taste of things to come for Diablo III, Starcraft II and even the new WoW Mists of Pandaria expansion pack.

Rise of the Samurai trailer released for Total War: Shogun 2

SEGA and The Creative Assembly have dropped a new trailer for the upcoming Rise of the Samurai, a Shogun 2 Total War DLC which is due out this coming month of September 2011. The DLC sets the stage of Shogun 2 400 years before the Sengoku period with one of six playable clans from the three great families: Taira, Minamoto and Fujiwara. The DLC will contain single and multiplayer modes. You can check out the new trailer below.

Starhawk drops new CGI Trailer (GC 2011)

LightBox Studio the creators of Warhawk have just released a new CGI game trailer for the upcoming PS3 multiplayer 3rd person shooter / RTS Starhawk. It shows off some good old fashioned ground pounding infantry and vehicle combat and also takes us on a little panoramic flight up into the planet’s atmosphere showing off some spaceships dog fighting each other. StarHawk is the upcoming Sci-fi Shooter/Real Time Strategy Playstation 3 exclusive game developed by LightBox Interactive. The main focus of the game is on the multi-player but LightBox Interactive wanted a good single-player experience with that as well. In this short trailer video you can see what kind of choices the people at LightBox Interactive had to make during the development of a fun and appealing First Person Shooter/Real Time Strategy game. US Navy Crowd-sourced MMO To Fight Somali Pirates

Anyone interested in fighting Somali pirates from the comfort of your computer? Well, that’s what the US Navy’s Office of Naval Research is hoping for and all you need is an internet connection! A couple days ago they announced the latest in the US military’s online crowd-sourced simulators known as the MMOWGLI project. Quite the acronym huh? Well, it stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Wargame Leveraging the Internet (MMOWGLI) and it’s something they’ve apparently been working on since back in 2009.
