Battlefield 3 DLC arrives early on Playstation 3

It’s a good day for everyone who are planning to buy Battlefield 3 and is a proud owner of an Playstation 3. DICE officially announced that all full blown Battlefield 3 downloadable content packages will appear at least one week early exclusively on PlayStation 3. Currently the only DLC package that we know off is “Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand” which will be released later this year.

Battlefield 3 – Xbox 360 Operation Guillotine Full Gameplay Trailer

Tonight is the night that Electronic Arts promised to release the full-length Operation Guillotine on Xbox 360 trailer and they finally did a few minutes ago. In the trailer you see how U.S. Marine Sgt. Blackburn enters the city of Tehran. Although Battlefield 3 looks amazing on single player mode it does remind me on Call of Duty in the old days. Battlefield 3 – Operation Guillotine off-screen Footage

Off-screen footage have showed up from the Tokyo Game Show this week. It shows actual live gameplay footage of the night mission better known as: Operation Guillotine. EA is really taking Battlefield promotion to the next level as the official release date is coming closer and closer. Battlefield 3 will be available on October 25th.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Footage

The Call of Duty XP held today in LA was the venue for the official release for the new Modern Warfare Multiplayer Footage trailer. The almost 4 min long trailer shows a lot of actual multiplayer gameplay footage as well as some new features like deployable turrets and the anti personnel bounding mine.

Battlefield 3 Fresh Screenshots

Five new screenshots were just uploaded on the official Battlefield 3 facebook page. A few screenshots are showing off the map caspian border including a screenshot of the battlemap. Caspian Border which was also featured in the latest full action trailer released last night at the Gamescom. The screenshots are really high resolution so if you like Battlefield 3 as much as we do we advice you to use one of these as you desktop background!

More and More Battlefield 3 Alpha Multiplayer!

Last week we posted up multiple videos showing off Battlefield 3 Multiplayer alpha footage. A few days ago YourGamingTeam uploaded around 30 minutes of Battlefield 3 mutliplayer alpha footage. Can BF3 Frostbite2 Really Simulate Earthquakes in Multiplayer ?

Battlefield 3 developer DICE says they’re “looking into it”. After seeing all those fancy BF3 trailer videos featuring earthquakes knocking over buildings and ripping rifts through the asphalt and roads, I think it’s safe to say everyone’s been thinking the same thing, how cool would it be if that could actually happen in real time in multiplayer with your fellow brothers in arms experiencing it with you? DICE has no plans on releasing mod tools for BF3

Even though it may come across as somewhat patronising to many of their loyal fans, DICE’s Patrick Söderlund has said that there are currently no plans to release any modding tools for the upcoming Battlefield 3 with the being that apparently they think the Frostbite 2 game engine is supposedly “too big of a challenge” for the would be modders out there. Söderlund went on to explain to claim that the destructible environments and what not would make modding BF3 too “tricky”.

Battlefield 3 – Behind the Scenes Developer Interviews

Yesterday EA uploaded a 17 min special behind-the-scenes episode of one of their in house funded online gaming shows called “PWNED_” (oooookay! don’t worry I had never heard of it before either!) which obviously is presented by a cute blonde girl (hey! we’re not complaining! we understand the marketing!). Anyways, this episode takes a look at the upcoming Battlefield 3 title being developed by DICE and due for release on PC and Console this fall 2011.
