Its has not even been a month since released, but Bethesda has just announced some good news for all Skyrim fans out there in particular for modders and players looking for new content to expand the game with. Among other news such as upcoming incremental patches, most important to note is the information that Bethesda has confirmed it will be releasing the Creation Kit for Skyrim (PC) around the beginning of January 2012.

We’re officially 3 days away from the official launch of Bethesda’s latest epic Elder Scrolls offering: Skyrim. In what is potentially the most highly anticipated game of the year, Skyrim will pick up where the extremely successful Oblivion left off and bring us back into the timelessly magical and mystically authentic world of the Elder Scrolls. In an attempt to channel and keep up with the huge building of anticipation, Bethesda has pushed out just moments ago yet another trailer showing off some of the Skyrim glory that awaits us.

Today the minimum and recommended system requirements for Skyrim were released by Bethesda. According to the specs its recommended that you carry a quad-core cpu in your box as well as a video card with 1GB of RAM which is not as high-end as many people thought. Even I expected the specs to be a bit higher for this very promising game. But I think this will make a lot of Elder Scrolls fans happy that they don’t have to buy a new rig or update their current one.

At E3 earlier this year Bethesda showed a 20 minute long demo behind closed doors to the international press and to all the fans at QuakeCon and PAX Prime. Today they uploaded all of the footage onto the internet allowing everybody who wasn’t able to attend these events to enjoy more then 20 minutes of slaying dragons and talking to giants while game director Todd Howard talks you through it. As you can see, Codemasters wasn’t the only one that wanted to show off their co-op capabilities today. Bethesda also uploaded a brand new RAGE trailer featuring the Co-op mode using split screen. The publisher explains: “Get the first look at RAGE’s co-op mode as the Shrouded clan come to Wellspring to destroy the town’s water supply and two warriors join forces to fight off the invasion. The guys at CVG spoke to Todd Howard about dragons and DLC (downloadable content) for the upcoming Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In terms of the scale of the DLC Todd said it will be “between Point Lookout for Fallout 3 and Shivering Isles for Oblivion”.

Bethesda has just released new screenshots for Elder Scroll V: Skyrim showcasing some of the races that players will be dealing with in the upcoming title. So far it would appear Bethesda has rather smartly decided to substantially increase the level of detail on the character models when compared with Oblvion. The screenshots show off Orcs, Argonians, Nords, Khajiit, Wood Elfs and a few others. They’re looking pretty good and certainly look like a step up from Obvlion. You can check them out below.

New gameplay footage of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has appeared on the ComicCon. The video shows different clips of all in-game footage including epic dragon fights and… well, more epic fights. As far as we can tell, Skyrim is going to be a serious contender for the game of the year award. and in just a few months you will be able to ride midget horses and kill dragons yourself! Well it seems Bethesda’s getting the E3 spotlight today. The most anticipated project they’re presenting this year is without a doubt Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. Bethesda’s officially aired the E3 trailer for Prey 2 today. It picks up where the debut trailer left off showing the main character Killian Samuels on the plane from the first video and then emerging from the midst of the plane wreckage on the planet of Exodus. It shows off many elements of the shooter, including the parkour and cinematic elements. Prey 2 is expected to launch in 2012 for PS3, 360 and PC. Check it out below.
