Earlier this afternoon EA pushed over our way the latest Battlefield 3 trailer in build up to the game’s final launch early next week. This launch trailer takes a more dramatic and cinematic storyline based approach as it delves into the game’s plot and premise of the single player campaign. Rather unimaginatively enough, of course it’s the same old story revolving around terrorism, Iran, and nuclear threats.

It’s a good day for everyone who are planning to buy Battlefield 3 and is a proud owner of an Playstation 3. DICE officially announced that all full blown Battlefield 3 downloadable content packages will appear at least one week early exclusively on PlayStation 3. Currently the only DLC package that we know off is “Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand” which will be released later this year.

Five new screenshots were just uploaded on the official Battlefield 3 facebook page. A few screenshots are showing off the map caspian border including a screenshot of the battlemap. Caspian Border which was also featured in the latest full action trailer released last night at the Gamescom. The screenshots are really high resolution so if you like Battlefield 3 as much as we do we advice you to use one of these as you desktop background!

Apparently it’s not just good for logging statistics and a social network, but also we can see that there are separate sections for weapons, awards, and much more, as you can see in the screenshots. New Battlefield 3 gameplay footage seems to be showing up everywhere. Most of the footage is on the Metro map that we’ve already seen earlier this year, but that doesn’t really matter if you see the sheer awesomeness of the explosions and destruction. Yesterday EA uploaded a 17 min special behind-the-scenes episode of one of their in house funded online gaming shows called “PWNED_” (oooookay! don’t worry I had never heard of it before either!) which obviously is presented by a cute blonde girl (hey! we’re not complaining! we understand the marketing!). Hot off the press, EA has released another Battlefield 3 teaser trailer called “My Life”. It’s heavily edited and very fast, including some extremely brief yet mouth watering new footage towards the end apparently showing a war torn city with fully collapsing buildings, base-jumping, fighter jets, and even a tank battle! Apparently this isn’t the full “My Life” trailer though, they’ve created a Facebook app which requires 1 million LIKE’s before the 12 minute “full length with developer commentary” version is unlocked.
