Theatrical Battlefield 3 Launch Trailer Drops

Earlier this afternoon EA pushed over our way the latest Battlefield 3 trailer in build up to the game’s final launch early next week. This launch trailer takes a more dramatic and cinematic storyline based approach as it delves into the game’s plot and premise of the single player campaign. Rather unimaginatively enough, of course it’s the same old story revolving around terrorism, Iran, and nuclear threats.

According to the LinkedIn page of a gameplay programmer working at Crytek, they are working on a new First Person Shooter Franchise for for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. US Army goes with CryEngine 3 for Military Simulator

The United Sates Army has decided to spend $57 million USD to enlist the help of Intelligent Decisions Inc. and Real Time Immersive Inc. utilizing the CryEngine 3 with the goal of developing the most realistic military simulator to date. Battlefield 3 – Behind the Scenes Developer Interviews

Yesterday EA uploaded a 17 min special behind-the-scenes episode of one of their in house funded online gaming shows called “PWNED_” (oooookay! don’t worry I had never heard of it before either!) which obviously is presented by a cute blonde girl (hey! we’re not complaining! we understand the marketing!). ArmA 3 is Officially Announced for Summer 2012

Just a few hours ago our long standing friends over at Bohemia Interactive Studios made an official announcement in regards to the upcoming third installment of the Armed Assault (ArmA) series they are actively developing on their Real Virtuality game engine. ArmA 3, following hot on the heels of ArmA 2 is expected to be released in the summer of 2012 and will interestingly enough be a title exclusively available for PC only.

A brand new Armed Assault 2 trailer showing off the new Reinforcements DVD pack has just been released by BIS on their official Arma2 YouTube channel. In case you had not heard yet, the Reinforcements pack combines the 2 DLC’s British Armed Forces (BAF) and the Private Military Company (PMC) on a physical DVD.
