Portal 2 Fan-Made Music Video “This Is Aperture”

this-is-aperture

As you are probably well aware we love our Fan-Made videos about video games especially when they are really well made. Last holiday season while pretty much everybody (including us) was playing Skyrim, a group of dedicated Steam Users started a project named: “Goodbye Christmas Caroline” with the intention to create a Christmas music album featuring Valve characters. Harry101UK is one of those members and made a Portal-style remake of “This Is Halloween” from The Nightmare Before Christmas. All voices and music are done by Harry101UK himself. “This is Aperture” [...]

ITV uses ArmA 2 game footage in TV documentary and claims it’s real IRA footage

IRA paramilitary soldiers as seen on ITV

Talk about an epic failure from ITV and for 21st century journalism in general. Yesterday the British broadcaster ITV aired a TV documentary called “Exposure: Gaddafi and the IRA” which was available online here (although they’ve since taken it down) on the subject of Colonel Gaddafi’s support for the IRA (Irish Republican Army) in the 1980′s, as naturally everything Libya/Gaddafi related is in vogue these days and presumably good for TV ratings. The ITV documentary features a segment with supposed experts and narrators talking over straight up grainy and pixelated [...]

Serious Sam 3 Release Trailer

srrs.

You shoot things and they die. Serious Sam has never been about headshots or involved team based mechanics. Hearkening back to the old school FPS genre, it’s about fast paced, arcade style fun. Based on this trailer, Serious Sam 3:BFE looks to be more of the same. And I’m really ok with that.

Half-Life: Singularity Collapse – Fan made short movie

halflifesingularity

I’ve come across a very neat Half-Life 2 fan made video called “Singularity Collapse” and figured I’d share it here to help get it some views (not like it will need it as this thing is likely to go viral). It’s basically a movie shot in a first person perspective, heavy on action and edited quite skillfully with plenty of VFX. Seeings how Half-Life 2 is probably one of the more memorable FPS games ever to have graced the PC gaming scene, and plenty of fan made movies have been [...]

10 minutes of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Gameplay

Ace-Combat-Assault-Horizon-Rafale-M-1

Namco Bandai have just released a ten minute gameplay video showing off the upcoming Ace Combat: Assault Horizon title for console (Xbox 360 and PS3). The game is due out in October 2011. While not a flight sim, for an arcade flight game it could still provide some fun and fast paced aerial combat action with nice visuals if you’re into that sort of thing. There also seem to be lots of different types of planes available, while I’m not sure as a player you can fly them all but [...]

Operation Flashpoint: Red River – New Co-Op Multiplayer Footage and Dev Videos

OperationFlashpoint-RedRiver-Banner

Finally it looks like Codemasters have released a proper game play video trailer of the upcoming Operation Flashpoint Red River, the follow up to Dragon Rising which was released back in October 2009 and proved to be rather unsuccessful and poorly received.  This video is better than others previously released because it seems to show real in game multiplayer co-operative footage and not some pre rendered cinematic scene that is no representation of how the game will actually play.
